Jennifer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario. She then went on the graduate from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy with an RMT diploma.
For the past 19 years she has worked in a variety of clinical, chiropractic and spa settings. Harbourview Therapeutic Massage Clinic in the Comox Valley has been her base for the past 14 years where she has built a strong and loyal clientele. Since having three children of her own she has realized the utmost importance of massage therapy for Pre and Post-natal women. As the Comox Valley has a large military base, in the past few years Jennifer has taken a keen interest in working with Veterans, both with massage related to rehabilitation for muscular injury, and for massage for those suffering from PTSD.
Eddie is a 2005 graduate of the 3000 hour program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in New Westminster, B.C. Eddie worked at Spa Utopia practicing his trade, providing relaxation techniques, hot stones and hydrotherapy treatments. He worked with expecting moms, as the spa was a place they enjoyed visiting. Pre and Post-natal care is part of RMT’s education and is a very rewarding part of our practice.
Eddie moved to Powell River to work at the Sunshine Coast Health Centre, Canada’s number one drug and alcohol recovery centre. As a RMT, he was able to help those suffering from PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder); he also worked on a wide variety of issues such as: Patient education (most important) , Tendonitis, Constipation, Rotator cuff injuries and Low back pain.
Tamara graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2012. While working in Calgary at a chiropractic clinic, she has treated a range of conditions including tendonitis, chronic pain, sports injuries, and prenatal care.
Tamara recently moved to the valley with her husband and daughter and is excited to be joining the Harbourview Massage Clinic.
Jada recently graduated in August 2017 from the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy. Her career in wellness began when she completed her Yoga Teacher Training, and began working as a full time yoga instructor in 2014. Teaching yoga inspired her to learn more about the human body, with its relationship to natural foods, active living, and mindfulness. This led to the beginning of her career as a Massage Therapist. Some of her clinical focuses in practical outreach included athletic injuries, joint replacements, maternity, neurological rehabilitation, soft tissue injuries, and geriatrics. Jada is passionate about health and rehabilitation, and is grateful to have the opportunity to work with people on their journey to wellness.
Marita has always had a keen interest in a healthy lifestyle and conservation. Her career began by teaching nutrition to children (kindercooking), exploring a variety of holistic health care modalities such as; reflexology, Shiatsu, Jin Shin Do, nutrition, and aromatherapy.
Intrigued and impressed by the healing capabilities of hands on care, she continued to seek different methods of healing for the active body. Marita pursued her formal education at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Vancouver graduating in 1996. She has taken a multitude of post graduate courses over the years, which has broaden her knowledge and application of techniques. To date, Marita integrates her practice with the years of experience and the wisdom of Ayurveda for healing the whole person.
